Hello. Thank you for considering me for The Friends of Minnehaha Park logo project! Please check out the following 'design for good' projects.
Information Design
Example No. 01: A gratitude report I created for Kids in Tech. Kids in Tech is an organization providing after school programming that empowers kids with the technical skills they need for the career paths of the future. I worked with their organization to create this for their 2019-2020 fiscal year.
This project is an AIGA Minnesota Design Show 2021 winner.
Example No. 02: Branding and an impact report I created for BeyondBackgrounds. BeyondBackgrounds is a local program that provides housing support to people with criminal, credit or rental history barriers in their background. I created their branding and next we worked together to create their two-page impact report. The design is custom-built for Beyond Backgrounds complete with a versatile set of custom icons.
Publication Design
Example No. 01: A set of three curriculum booklets created for Girls in Gear. Girls in Gear is an organization that teaches life skills through bike skills. I worked with their organization to create their curriculum booklets for girls aged 6-8, 9-12 and 13-16. We created a design that could be used across programs with a different colorway for each program.
Example No. 02: 'The Muttropolitan' is a passion project inspired by my adorable mutt, Cordiroy. It is a zine that features 20 of the cutest mixed-breed dogs on Instagram. I hope to finalize the design and officially release it soon!
Poster Design
Example No. 01: Poster design for Type Hike. I was asked to create a poster for Type Hike, a collaborative non-profit design project. Their Alphabeast series celebrates 26 endangered species in the US - one for each letter of the alphabet. My letter is ‘Q’ and my animal is the Quino checkerspot butterfly. Check out all 26 posters and pick up a print at typehike.com - 100% of profits from this series will be donated to Defenders of Wildlife!
Example No. 02: Poster for POSTERS for PARKS. POSTERS for PARKS is an annual show produced in partnership with LoveMplsParks, featuring limited-edition posters inspired by Minneapolis parks. I was asked to create a poster featuring a local Minneapolis Park and chose Longfellow Gardens in Minnehaha Regional Park.
